Having the Right Attitude to Make a Successful Online Business

When I started out with the idea that I wanted my own Affiliate Business, I sat down and started my research. I had no idea what I was getting into. It is absolutely mind-boggling as to how many "how-to" programs are out there. They all have the 'right program' to help you get started, and they all have their "free stuff", and that is all great - but you better be prepared. And you better be ready to sit and plan out your business. Its the solid, well thought out plan that will survive. The rest will crash and burn.

Rule Number 1: Research long and hard on what you will be selling. Do you want to direct market, or do you want to affiliate market? Both can be very lucrative as long as you plan well and are persistent.

Rule Number 2: Don't expect instant gratification with money, find it with your small successes, such as - your website is built, you have good keywords, you have completed your current project.

Rule Number 3: Don't give up! Stick with it. Your profits will not happen over night, so don't expect them to. Its your business, and only you can make or break the outcome. Believe in yourself and your abilities. It will happen, so don't rush it. It is so important to have a positive, committed and dedicated attitude.

Rule Number 4: Continue to educate yourself. Keeping looking for a better way, or a new idea, or a better technique. There are hundreds of people out here in the cyber-world, learn from them. Read their blogs, and talk to them on the forums. Most of them have wonderful ideas, and are willing to share. Learn from them, it will be the best thing you can do for yourself and your business.
